This monument desperately
needs to be cleaned of moss. The back of the monument
base needs to be cleaned and restored. The granite is
badly stained from overhead vegetation. Minor work is
needed on the bronze state seal, repointing of bedding
joints. • Estimated cost: $1,200.
« the 23rd Pennsylvania Infantry monument
They were known as Birney's Zouaves. The all-granite monument is in good
condition but is in need of cleaning. It was last cleaned
in the late 1980s. Minor repointing is required.
